Former Top Chef contestant and Pura Vida chef Hector Santiago has the ideal excursion for Atlanta foodies…Gastro Treks! These cuisine and wine centered trips take Atlantans on a once-in-a-lifetime vacation with Santiago to unique destinations.

The first Gastro Trek is to Santiago’s native Puerto Rico and leaves tomorrow, but Threaders can sign up now for future trips at Pura Vida’s web site. Participants will have the opportunity to travel with Santiago, traveling around a given destination tasting and cooking different foods, as well as meeting area chefs while staying in exclusive hotels. MDT Hint: The hotel cost in included in the Gastro Trek fee.

In Puerto Rico, individuals will be treated to cooking demonstrations, area food festivals, tours of the local area, dinner at Santiago’s family home and plenty of leisure time too! Most meals are included in the trip but participants are responsible for their own airfare.
