Who says comic books are just for kids?! Celebrate the grand opening of local artist Greg Mike’s new art gallery and creative agency, ABV, this Friday, May 28 from 7-11 p.m. In addition to being an old friend of the MDT crew, Greg Mike’s newest endeavor, ABV, is also a neighbor here in the Studioplex lofts. The ABV Gallery and Creative Agency will showcase work from artists and designers from Atlanta and beyond. The space will be featuring new work on a rotating basis (with openings on the fourth Friday of each month during the Studioplex Art Walk).

The first show at ABV, called The Panelists, includes work by 16 national artists who each created two eight foot comic book pages. Artists include Mark Mothersbaugh of new wave band Devo, Mitch O’Connell, Anthony Ausgang, Niagara, The Pizz, Spain, Mats?!, Mark George, Krk Ryden, Zoey Stevens, Luster Kaboom, Janelle Hessing, Rus Pope, RObin Footitt, Jon Haddock and Joshua Ellingson.
